NEO held its first DevCon and has emerged as a major Ethereum competitor. Ethereum is well established in strengths and weaknesses. Neo has more risks but potential for higher growth. I bought into neo because neo is close to chinese goverment and if they become established in china their growth will explode. NEO now is like having a time machine and having the chance to grab Ethereum a year ago. As far as the tech goes, they seem to be pretty much on par with each other. One of them isn't far superior to the other by any wide margin based on my own research.

As far as I can tell, NEO really represents an alternative to Ethereum rather than an improvement. The separation of 6 days ago I have been looking at Ethereum alternatives since seeing how congested the network got during the DeFi hype.
